Michael studied BA (Hons) 3D multidisciplinary design at Buckinghamshire
college where in 1997 he began to experiment with various welding and
metalwork techniques. The technique he now uses evolved and he began using stainless steel and various paint and heat finishes.
He has recently finished a large commission of his insects for London and
Edinburgh branches of Harvey Nichols for a window feature. Exotic flora and fauna sharply observed and executed in metalwork turn an
industrial making technique into a fine art. Bright use of colour creates
objects of curiosity and beauty and an unexpected quirky accent to a
contemporary interior.
Now based in the New Forest area he exhibits with selected galleries mainly in the South of England.
